Charlotte Pearsall, whose family have lived at Little Bay for the last 30 years, said she had never seen anything like it.
…People with binoculars said the snapper stretched as far as they could see and boaties reported ”a carpet of floating fish further out to sea all along the coast”.

The Maryland Department of the Environment says an estimated 2 million fish have been reported dead from the Bay Bridge south to Tangier Sound.
… Meanwhile along the Coast of Brazil, officials have reported that more than 15 tons of fish have washed up along the shores. The dead fish include sardines and smaller fish.
‘Very large’ fish kill reported in bay (Baltimore)
An estimated 2 million fish have been reported dead from the Bay Bridge south to Tangier Sound, according to the Maryland Department of the Environment, which investigates fish kills. The dead fish are primarily adult spot, with some juvenile croakers.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Thousands of dead fish were floating in Volusia County Tuesday. They were all in Spruce Creek in Port Orange. The fish kill is unusual because it is warm, according to people who live along the creek.
… Kayakers on the creek told WFTV, that during their five-hour paddle, they’d seen fish around every bend and it appeared to be one of the most extensive kills they had seen.
… Residents told WFTV the fish kill is big enough that it’s attracting brown and white pelicans from the beach, which are birds they rarely see this far inland.

Is The New Madrid Fault Earthquake Zone Coming To Life?

About 200 years ago, in 1811 and 1812, there were four earthquakes that were so powerful in the area of the New Madrid fault zone that they are still talked about today. All four of the quakes were estimated to have been magnitude-7.0 or greater. It is said that those earthquakes opened deep fissures in the ground, caused the Mississippi River to run backwards and that they were felt as far away as Boston.
The last major earthquake to hit the region was a 5.4-magnitude quake that struck the town of Dale, Illinois in 1968. Things have been strangely quiet in the region since then until recently.

An ancient hill fort at Heuneburg found the 13-by-16-foot burial chamber in an excellent state of preservation and still containing gold and amber jewellery placed there seven years before the birth of Christ.
